Jalapeño Poppers

I love theses little darlings! The perfect appetizer for any get together or game day celebration. Heck!...We even make them to serve as the main course sometimes. Hors D'oeuvres for dinner? Why not!

1 Lb ground (bulk) pork sausage
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 8oz block cream cheese, softened
1 Lb jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded (about 12-14 peppers)
1.) Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2.) Cook sausage in skillet over med/high heat, until browned and crumbled. Drain fat.
3.) Mix cooked sausage, parmesan, and cream cheese. Stir well to combine.
4.) Fill each halved pepper with about 1 Tbs sausage mixture.
5.) Arrange stuffed halves on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
Take a a bow! You are a superstar!

  1. I have so got to try these - we don't get fresh jalapeno's here - I wonder what I could substitute - most of our spicy chillies are too small. Maybe bell peppers and add chilli to the filling??

    Have a great week.

  2. These look great Leslie.
    Have a great Sunday

  17. I’m really craving for some poppers again! In fact, I even ate a couple of this last weekend. We had a party at a friend’s house and it’s one of the most delicious food served there. Though, I have to say that my mom’s version is still the best! :p

I make regularly and finally asked my daughter some info on them and realized all this time I have been leaving off the Parmesan Cheese...that will never happen again...this is pinned to my Pinterest Appetizer...yum board!! Thank you for this yummy, I would have never tried irked it, due to the "HOT" side of it. My daughter would not let me NOT glad hubby and I both tried...and LOVE!
